Of course you do!
Well, If you want to get a leg up on creating Morning MOmentum, getting a great night’s sleep is an excellent way to do it.
Today, and over the next few days I’m going to talk about improving your sleep in a Sleep Better Series. It will help you have more energy from the moment you open your eyes.
A first step to improve sleep, is to improve your food intake. Here’s how to do it…
Nutrition and Sleep: What you eat effects your sleep enormously, and sadly most people put much too much toxic junk in their mouths daily. Too much sugar, salt, bleached flour, caffeine, and genetically modified and processed foods, interfere with restorative sleep.
When these unhealthy substances are coursing around in your body early morning fogginess is the result. If you want to improve your sleep you need to eliminate the toxins before better sleep can happen. I suggest you begin by eliminating sugar and caffeine totally for a one month period. Over that period you will be able to establish a new habit.
It won’t be easy.
Once you have mastered sugar and caffeine in your diet, you can address the other junk.
Tomorrow I’m going to discuss how changing when you eat and how much you eat can improve your sleep.
Am MOmentum is a fantastic habit to develop, it will help you be well all day long. When you notice how much better you feel,and realize that it’s because you have taken charge of your diet and other variables, you will never want to go back to feeling foggy and lethargic again.
