To breathe life into yourself and others is to inspire.
Your breath is the key to your health and well-being.
With healthy breathing, you energize yourself.
You feed your body and your mind.
Watch an infant, lying on her back, breathe fully into her belly.
Watch her belly rise and fall.
Watch and then practice.
When you learn how to breathe this way again, you will put great power back into your life.
You will put energy and Momentum in.
You will send stress and tension out.
Use your slow and deep breathing anytime you feel overwhelmed.
Anytime you feel discouraged or lost.
Anytime you feel anxious or angry.
Use your breath to regain balance and calm.
Use your breath to help you develop patience and resilience.
Breathe in slowly, hold your breath for a moment, then breathe out slowly.
Fill your belly, watch it rise, and then fill your lungs from the bottom up.
And then empty from the top down.
Practice, practice, practice…
Remind yourself to “Breathe slowly and deeply” by putting notes on your mirror, on the refrigerator, in your car or by sending reminders to yourself. Then practice balanced, careful and healthy breathing each time you see the reminder.
